Those $50 lasers do get the job done but when it comes to daily use for someone in construction DeWalt is far more durable and more resistant for long term use. If you are just planning to do little small home jobs sure go with a cheap $50 laser but when it comes to doing work in the trades those cheap lasers won't get you far.

Wanted something like this for a while now, and I'm already tied in with Dewalt. Is this deal slick?

This is the best price I've found. It's $349 and up elsewhere.

Even better if you have any Home Depot credit card coupons.

Also, worth noting, a majority of these laser levels are pretty much for indoor use only. They can be very hard to see outdoors during the day.

Home depot had an equivalent laser (except AA battery powered, not 20v) for $99 within the last few weeks. I don't think 20v vs AA is worth $100 more

Amazon has had it for $199, but it sells out pretty fast. They have restocked it a few times since October at the $199 price. Usually lasts a day or so until it goes oos

The battery goes in the bottom so this does not appear to be compatible with a tripod. If that is the case, I would not recommend this because you will either have to mount it to a wall (which is not always feasible) or find a way to get it to the correct height (makeshift way of attaching to a tripod or stacking random stuff to get the right height).

Not sure why down voted. But this seems overpriced especially figuring you need to give up one of your batteries

This is way overpriced. lol The cheap $50 - $75 sets that include the tripod are as accurate, though the Dewalt tripod is better quality, but it's not even included. Dewalt is still acting like this is a new tech item.

It comes with a tripod adapter, which is basically a vertical magnetic base.
