The Sole website says the list price on this is $1,199.99, unless I'm missing something? Where is Dick's getting 2k from?

Haven't used this treadmill, but have a Sole F85 from about a decade ago and my biggest complaint is that it is is very slow to change speed for intervals. We are talking 30 seconds or more to go from 6 to 9mph. This seems to be a limitation that some has programmed into the speed controller and not a problem with the 3.5 HP motor. I haven't found a way to change this.

Buying one today, since I Zwift, I would make sure that my new treadmill has BLE FTMS protocol including the endpoints to control speed and incline. (You can test this with the Nordic NRF Connect mobile app. ) And I would test the speed of pace changes to make sure they are usable for short intervals.

Any difficulties assembling this thing?
As long as you have a second person helping it shouldn't be a problem. I just bought this exact model a few weeks ago (yay missing slick pricing...). As everyone has said this thing weighs a ton. Beyond that, I did 99% of the assembly myself (though it'd be much easier with a second person). The only "issue" I had was a couple of plastic pieces on the top of the handles that need to be sandwiched together then while they're sandwiched you're supposed to screw them in. I nearly wanted to throw those things across the room trying to do those by myself.

Other than that this model is great. I don't care about anything other than turn it on, set my speed and go and it does that fine. Feels solid and works without issue.

Any inputs on Horizon 7.0 AT VS this? Both at similar price debating what to get
I've had equipment from both companies and have found the build quality of Sole to be much better in the long run.

I have heard horror stories of people asking for warranty repair from this company. Can anybody vouch for them being a good company? Looking online that if you have a problem you are kind of SOL.

I had a warranty replaced motor after about 2 years and the process wasn't too bad. Just basic troubleshooting and then they agreed that the motor was most likely the problem. That said, they shipped me the part and I did the work myself following a brief PDF guide, so it wasn't exactly a turn-key replacement, but only took an hour or so.

I had a Sole F63 purchased in 2019 and the motor and control board burned up after about a year. When I say burned up the control board literally melted. At the time I googled it and it was common with the F63.
Contacted Sole and they agreed to ship the replacement parts, problem was they were out of stock. I contacted them every month for about 6 months and it was the same story, parts are back ordered, then they stopped responding. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and they got involved and Sole agreed to replace the Treadmill since they could not get parts. Sole delivered a new F85 and set it up, the F63 wasn't available.
I have had no issues with the F85, just lubricate the belt about every 6 months or so when the reminder comes on.

I looked at the f63 and the horizon at dick's in store. F63 looks better and the controls feels sturdier. Horizon had a few broken buttons and controls on the floor model.

I had the higher model than this at home, and it felt a bit like running on concrete. Make sure to try it out in a store before buying. If you are older, this model may be a bit hard on your body. There are better designed treadmills that are easier on the joints if you enjoy running.

Maybe I'm in the minority on this, but I prefer the treadmills with the bars that extend down the sides to the base. With these types of treadmills, I would always drift enough side to side that I'd plant on the edge of the track and nearly trip.
If you often drift from side to side, then you may need to visit a doctor for equilibrium imbalance, or maybe a PT to check on your strides.

I have experience with this. Do they eventually honor the warranty? Yes. Does it take months or about a year to get parts? Yes. I had to reach out to customer service a few times (they blamed supply shortage for not being able to get the parts) but eventually I got them.

This is super helpful and that is what I have been reading as well. I don't want to wait 6+ months for a part to come in when i spend $1000++ on a treadmill.

I was looking at the Sole F80 since I figured it was better, at this point I am wondering if it is worth it since I don't care about apps or a screen. Can anyone speak to the difference in feel between the F80 and F63? I have seen a few youtube videos but most seem AI generated or lack details. Thanks in advance.

Depends on what you're getting used, for how long it was used, and by whom. This is a great, mid-grade treadmill that will last a long time. Had mine since 2018, moved with it, and never misses a beat.

Reality is you may spend $1000 on a treadmill and never get a part if something happens. They did stand by it at the end of the day, a lot of companies do not.
