My wonderboom 1 finally died about 8 months ago and I said I wouldn't replace it until UE threw a usb-c port on them. This is a pretty good price.

Does this one sound good? Is "doubling up" still a bit of a pain in the ass?

How much sound does this put out? I have a Boom2 that i love for doing yardwork. Throws the perfect amount of sound and sounds good, but would love something a bit smaller with better battery life.

I have the older version and use it all the time. The sound is surprisingly good and battery life is amazing.

Doing some research and it looks like this actually sounds better and is just as loud as the Boom and Megaboom, despite its small size.

Don't think it's much different than previous versions. Just USB-C. However I use this thing ALL THE TIME. Easy decision for the $60 upgrade for me. No more micro.

Honestly I don't know there are much differences between 2, 3, and 4. This review about 3 doesn't mention much difference between 2 or 4. I just upgraded because I want USB-C and it's on sale. I'll donate the Wonderboom 2 to get a tax write off and save some additional money to make the upgrade. I use the device so much that the price is worth it to me. I easily use it a few hours a day.
