You're wrong. It's exactly the same.

Is the mediatek wifi card the worst part of this machine since it is soldered in? If the Qualcomm card were speced it would be much better.

Edit:just saw this has the Qualcomm. Much better.
I've been monitoring machines like this for a while and reading threads. I thought people complain about the Qualcomm WiFi cards?

I have a 4k 13.3" screen on this lappy. I spent the last couple weeks at 1920x1080. Battery life was better. Screen quality was way worse. I'm convinced on the 4k for daily use.

Yep looks like it.

The main reason I started using MacBook Air because of it's awesome battery life though I hate the MacOS.

I don't recall exactly but was comparing framework 13. The default card is the mediatek which also was /is on some p14 or t14.
Most of the framework 13 and users swap for ax201.
I think the qualcomm is fine and the mediatek is the one with bad reviews.

Thank you, it pops up the first time to add to cart but doesn't seem to pop up if already in cart. Depot support is only 160 for five years, maybe worth peace of mind.
Once in the cart and configuration made, there is small "edit" option towards the end to change the configuration of the order if needed.
I ordered this laptop for my son who's in college. Between the "extended" warranty provided by my credit card and the discount, I decided to pass on the Lenovo extended warranty. At best my CC will provide another year or two (I need to double check on the terms) and at worst, there will be another Lenovo sale with better spec'ed laptop in the next year or two. Smilie

Why did Lenovo cripple such a good business machine with such a low-capacity 52 Whr battery? Their cheaper consumer line comes with 71 Whr battery (i.e. Lenovo Yoga 7 14" with same processor)
Weight?

If you are a business person who travels, you know. 1/2 pound is A LOT.

Maybe, if the RAM is upgradeable later. But in general, having 64GB of RAM futureproofs the machine far better than 32GB. I just recently stopped using a 2013 Macbook Pro, and the main reason it lasted that long without needing a replacement was because it still ran pretty fast thanks to having enough RAM (16GB, which was a lot back then).

Software gets more and more bloated, and that bloat fills the RAM. Then the OS has to swap that bloat in and out of memory to make room for other bloat, first writing the bloat out to the disk then reading other bloat back into RAM from the disk, and that happens over and over and over again every second. These two issues are fixed by (i) having more RAM and (ii) having a good fast big flash drive. And if you're playing games, the GPU matters -- big time! The CPU is about the least important part of the computer these days.
agree, but $500 is a lot for that since the RAM is upgradeable on this machine anyways. More like $200-$300 for additional RAM and OLED screen makes sense. I feel they might put 64 gb model too on deal soon for $800 something.

This is a significantly more powerful machine than the x1 carbon at nearly the same physical size. X1s are stuck with intel processors. The only real downsides here compared to x1c is a slightly larger body, a little more weight, and Mylar vs glass trackpad, which you can mod easily for glass later on if it bothers you.

Windows pro offers almost no advantages over home version outside of some business specific features.

Right on, but I rely on Bit locker and to my knowledge that is only available to PRO.

id.me discount cannot be applied towards this? I don't see anywhere to login or apply the id.me discount.
That does not work in the Beneplace site (which is where this deal is). the site is already discounted so no additional discounts and other coupons do not work here.

Most cashback sites exclude deals from Workplace sections of online stores. Beneplace is a workplace site on Lenovo.com.

Windows home also has a "device encryption" setting that is similar to Bitlocker. Many laptops come with this enabled and needs to be disabled and drive unencrypted if you wanted to clone to larger SSD, etc.

This is a 14" screen model (P14s). What 13.3" model are you talking about?

Did they already price match? I thought we were supposed to send an email to price match.
I ordered for $889 on Cyber Monday. Just got off the phone with their customer service and they said they would refund the difference to my original payment method.
