So I should do this the moment i turn on the computer if i buy this?
The BSOD issues start to occur after Windows 11 updates itself to the latest 24H2 version. There is a change in configuration that does not work well with certain WD NVMe drives causing the BSOD/crashes.

The best case scenario is that you don't need to do a Windows re-install.

As soon as you get the PC set it up and download the Western Digital Dashboard tool from the WD website. When you open the tool you will see your WD NVMe drive and be able to update it's firmware.

Once the firmware has been updated before Windows does the 24H2 updates you should be good.

I just put in my order using 5% cash back via Capital One Credit Card offer. Supposed to arrive in two days. Will monitor to see if it gets cancelled.

Same here, I ordered 2 times and all been canceled, seems like already sold out.
Same thing happened to me. You may need to talk to customer service. Walmart sometimes will flag your account as suspicious fraud for making a big purchase.

Safest way might be fire up the machine without internet / turn off the windows auto update feature / then turn on the internet and then download the WD driver /dashboard and install it. upgrade firmware and reset the windows update flag.

You are rite bro, I just talked to the customer service and I have been told that they flagged my account and I have to wait at least 2hrs to make another same purchase with the same info.

I would hope that it would be an open box instead of priced as new, but who knows. It's Walmart.
I returned mine at $1199 + tax because I got an Alienware i9-14900F/4080 Super build for $1600 all in. At $999, I might've just kept this.

Is it an extra 5% or 10% percent back stacking WalMart and PayPal CC offer? Either way this is killer.

Seems like a solid buy. Use it as is or upgrade to better components down the road.

If you are in the bay area, you can get a microcenter price from Central computers and do a build with better components. This is a good price with a GRE
It's $399 for the bundle and $$550 for GPU. How are you gonna get case, PSU and 2 TB nvme for $50? Rofl...

Call them. Some orders are getting marked as scam and being cancelled by Walmart. Calling them fixes it.
