I'm going to help spread advice I got from a previous post such as this, and recommend everyone do their research on https://www.reddit.com/r/VacuumCleaners/ before making this purchase. (All of my previous vacuums were purchased via slickdeals)

I spent a little extra money to get a Kenmore BU4050, which has been perfect for my needs. I can 100% tell the difference between what it was like before and after switching to a bagged vacuum. Plus, I'm done a lot faster because I'm not constantly emptying the container and getting dust everywhere.

If you don't feel like you're surrounded by enough suckers, this should help.

Thanks ordered it. Costco has the same for more or less $150 on sale with 2 extra attachments. Return policy is valuable but.. not sure if $50 more valuable.

The price is right but a lot of the more recent reviews of this vacuum are concerning.

I bought this exact model last year. Works much better than the older cordless we have. Does a reasonable job of not getting wrapped up with pet hair but does require once in awhile pulling wound hair off the little wheels and the metal bars by the main roller.

Don't use the "lift away" function much but I can see how it'd be useful for some.

It does have two settings high and low for roller speed which is useful on hardwoods vs. carpet, and does have a "suction bypass" on the handle for thick carpets or rugs so the roller doesnt get stuck and shut down.

The foam pad filter on mine gets pretty dirty after a whole house clean but is easy enough to wash out in the sink. Haven't replaced the pad filter or the HEPA yet. Will be going aftermarket when that day comes.

This or the navigator xl?

This has a self cleaning brush roll and a felt strip for better hard floor performance, but a weaker motor than the xl. If you care primarily for carpet performance and long hairs aren't an issue go for the xl, otherwise go for this one

Love mine, but last year they had refurbished models around this time for around $50, hoping they do that again this year

Dyson is definitely better but also more expensive.

I bought the Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe on sale for $100 last month, to use in some rental properties. The suction noticeably isn't as strong as my Dyson V7 that I use at home. You can still get the job done, just have to make a few more passes.

Just looked the Kenmore up. 179.99 on Amazon. Is it really worth 80 more than this vac?

Yeah it's been a dream. Has a lot more functionality than these standard bagless vacuums. I've noticed significantly less dirt and dust in between vacuuming, and that's with a dog. Considering I have both hardwood and carpet / rugs, the vacuum i got may not be best for everyone else. That being said, researching the best one for your needs proved to be better for me than continuously buying sale / discount bag less vacuums
