I do not recommend these shoes at all. Website images don't do their actual appearance justice. The soles make these things look like you are wearing some kind of geriatric safety shoe. The patterns on them are not durable and will break down quickly.

Every time I see the pictures of these shoes, I have buyer's remorse. I just ordered a different pair of Wolverine safety work shoes a couple of days ago from a different deal post and already regret it because I probably should have learned my lesson and stuck with their boots. Don't trust the pics provided. See if you can find pictures of them on people's feet anywhere else before you jump on this deal

LOL,
I mean, there is only so much difference between a picture and holding the product so yeah, they look like this. I don't really know how else to describe it other than to say that they do not look as slick or athletic in person at all. I legitimately think they take the image files for these shoes and squish them ever-so-slightly so they don't look so much like lifts.

My initial attraction is probably for the same reasons that others might be tempted to buy these and that is the athletic style/aesthetic that these present. I work in a manufacturing environment and have seen hundreds of different safety shoes and boots. Some of them manage to pull off the look but of the multiple models that I've tried so far, they just don't hold up well or have a very awkward style to them when wearing pants. These particular shoes have the plastic accent designs on the sides that get cracks and make the shoes look grungy faster. The way the soles lift you up but also extend up the sides of the shoes makes it look as though you are wearing some kind of lifts with awkward proportions for the upper foot material. I honestly can't even speak to their comfort because I immediately change out the insoles of any work shoes I buy with higher quality insoles. Even then, I can't remember how long I tried to wear these but it just wasn't very long because I couldn't stand to make myself put them on.

I've just learned that a good leather 6" boot is my footwear of choice. I recently tried a pair of Timberlands I got for free from a workplace shoe program and they were falling apart within the first two weeks. The Reebok shoes I had initially were great looking but incredibly painful to wear.

Unfortunately, it is much harder to find safety shoes that you feel really comfortable with. They aren't like normal footwear that you can find in every store to try on every style before you buy. However, if anyone out there has that option at their disposal, I highly encourage you to utilize it before buying any Slickdeal offerings just because of the low price. I wish I had invested all of the funds that went into my Slickdeal safety shoes into backup pairs of my favorite boots.

Hope this helps some folks!

You might have an extra space after the promo. I had the same thing happen and when I removed the space it worked.

I'm less worried about then look than just the general bad reviews mentioning discomfort and failures of materials. Hard pass.

That's great for you. There are thousands of options for safety shoes/boots on the market though so, personally, I consider both the aesthetics and the quality to be equally important. I don't want to wear something comfortable that makes me look like a clown just like I don't want to wear something uncomfortable because they look better when there are options available that cover both categories. I'm pretty confident in saying that I'm probably in the majority with that mindset

I used to work a job requiring me to be on my feet on concrete, walking and occasionally running, and safety toes.

I got some of these and they're overly heavy, clunky feeling with not great grip from the sole.

My go to before was 5.11 side zip ATAC with composite toe. The short ones have this goofy membrane which makes it hard to get into them. I cut that and they're fast on and off. I'm going back to those.

My $.02 after buying this on a previous deal.

These are fine, cheap safety shoes, not horrible about as good as timberlands. Not as comfortable as like 150+ boots but also like 40$
