Btw this is Swiss Made and has a sapphire coated crystal, which is apparently the best of both worlds: scratch resistant and less likely to shatter than full sapphire.

According to my search, the $40 Wenger watches on Walmart are not the same as this one. On Ebay however, this exact same watch is $45.17 with free shipping & returns, while on the MyGiftStop site, there is no free shipping, nor free returns for this item.

No chance a sapphire coated is better then full sapphire but for $25 cannot really complain.

Yup. If it was the best of both worlds a regular sapphire crystal wouldn't exist. This is probably like all of those other coated mineral crystals - somewhat more scratch resistant than glass but still will inevitably pick up scratches.

They may have been around that price when they first came out based on old threads in watch enthusiast forums I checked out, which referred to them as "<200 watches" -- but I'm not 100% sure bc I also saw other old posts about different models of wenger watches that ppl said they paid around 75 - 80 bucks for. Nonetheless, the consensus of Wenger owners, back when it was at MSRP, was that these watches are dependable, sturdy & last a long time for the price. So, based on the specs offered, and of course if one likes the style and look of it, it seems that for 20 bucks plus shipping ($3.99) & tax, (about a buck & change) this is a steal, if you don't care about no free returns.
PS: At this price, I would suggest checking to make sure it's even returnable, rather than a non-returnable "final sale" item, which would be a deal breaker for anyone unwilling to gamble $25 & change on the watch being in good working condition.
