Personally, I found both to be excellent games; but then I enjoy this genre.
A few random notes about PoP TLC -
— It is an extremely polished and well made game.
— It's surprisingly long. People online will claim they finished it is xyz time. Don't believe it; folks exaggerate online (often claiming less time than they actually took). I forgot how long it took for me (I'm an average gamer), but it is a 'full length' game. I know that's vague but take that as you will.
— The story is okay; they definitely missed an opportunity here. A better story would have gone a long way to make the game more attractive. One of the best things about the PoP that most remember (Sands of Time) was its story. That appeal is missing here.
— The new character starts off as a seemingly stereotypical overly cocky upstart; but thankfully the writing was better than that. The character will grow on you as the game progresses. So though the story was kinda weak, the characterization was very good.
— They absolutely missed a great opportunity by not bringing back the original Sands of Time prince. The same exact story would have sufficed. They just had to reskin the character to look like the original prince; change some minor dialog here and there — just make it so the prince is visiting a neighboring kingdom, and that was it. The nostalgic factor would have been strong. With the rumored sands of time remake happening, it would have tied in nicely.

Edit: I found the answer on the product page. However I have another question. If the PS4 disc allows a free digital download of the PS5 version do we still need to have the disc inserted to play the PS5 version?
