We have seen this price couple of times for last 2 weeks. Amazon seems to fluctuate the price for it recently.

Awesome deal. I was going to wait until spring time and hope that the smaller size (I think 1lb?) would be ~$6 on sale. This beats that by a mile. We eating good in 2025. I'm growing pounds of food. LETS GOOO!

It takes multiple years for an Apple tree to bear fruit. Hence why new varieties of apples take a long time to be tested out.

"In nutrient-rich soil, you can withhold using fertilizers until your apple trees begin bearing fruit (average: 2-4 years). If your new apple trees fail to put on an average of 8- to 12-inches of new green growth during the growing season, consider fertilizing starting the following spring".

Is it just one variety? Does it produce flowers? Problem might be that it needs another variety nearby to cross-pollinate for fruit production.

I think this is a good deal for this particular product, but I think there are cheaper options that work just as well if used correctly.
Just a couple things to remember:
  1. Organic fertilizers are great for the long term health of your soil and the environment. And of course its safer for your families who walk around the fertilized areas.
  2. Organic fertilizers are dependent on weather and local conditions to work. In a colder environment, the microbes will be slow at breaking the fertilizer down into useful compounds for the plants. Inn the heat it will be faster. Moisture also plays a big role. It may not be the best choice for a plant that needs immediate help.
