Like some others have posted, I have this model too that I bought in a pinch at Target when my Keurig died on me. It's worked perfectly for the past 3 months that we've used it - and it gets used a lot, both on the Kcup and Carafe sides. Moreover, it has brewed without issue every off-brand Kcup pod I've thrown at it, whereas my Keurig would refuse to cooperate with those. I'm tempted to buy another at this price!
A good bit of 1 star reviews for this model. I had bought a K-Duo Essentials last month but it was dead on arrival like many of the 1 star reviews for that one.
Does anyone have this and can recommend it? Looking for a dual coffee maker for a rental home that allows guests to use ground coffee or k-cups.
Use these models (many prior versions) in 8 of our nightly rentals. Also use one at home. Guest love them. Common failure point seems to be the seal internal to the carafe brewing at the swing arm pivot. Simply wears out after about 2.5-3yrs of guest use. It will either start to leak water during the brew or will take literally an hour to brew a pot, depending on which model (subtle internal differences). Will continue to use these and will like buy a couple at this price as spares. Good find OP.
Run away from this. No "discount" is worth the headache. The original one from years ago was great. I loved it. These new ones CONSTANTLY have the kcup needle clogging. Poorly designed and cheaply made. The most infuriating year that we had that dang thing before it broke. (And yes, we use filtered water and legit kcups).
I have the older version of this unit and have been through 3 of them. The first two had plastic hoses on the bottom that would wear over time causing them to break and leak hot water all over. My second unit I replaced it after it broke. Hamilton Beach replaced both units no questions asked out of warranty. I did buy this one for holiday gift. We will see how it works.
My parents other version of this crapped out after maybe 3 years, so I picked this up as a replacement mainly because my Dad likes to use the Keurig in the evenings. They have a backup 12 cup maker otherwise. Hopefully this does the job.
