HSS Strat is incredibly versatile if you are looking to step up into a better quality guitar these are hard to beat at this price.

I'm in the market for an HSS Strat. After missing out on the crazy value of Juanes from FGW, I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on anything else in the off chance that FGW will have another awesome deal.

I got the Juanes. And two different Jacksons from FGW in the last few weeks. Idk if that guitar will pop back up but I imagine more will. The Charvel ones are bad ass too.

I was expecting that red one to be the Player I as they seem to constantly have one just like it on sale. But it's a II. That turquoise looks great with that pickguard vs the white one they had last week.

How do you do it without your wife finding out? I just had a tele shipped to the house and had to listen to all kinds of questions.

What's the difference between the player 1 and player 2 models? I like this guitar a lot and only minor gripes would be that I would rather have a maple fretboard and possibly coil splitting on the humbucker (which I could easily add). The best deal I've seen was an a standard strat (in green) on the fender website a week back but it sold out quick. Also have had my sights on Aerodyne models for a while now and may hold off a bit longer. They seemed to go on sale a lot around a year ago but haven't seen them come around since.

Have it sent to your work. Then unpackage it and walk in the door like you just brought back a guitar from a set up or repair or something. Problem with this is you get to only play it when she isn't home or asleep. Probably won't pull this trick again.

Main upgrade is rolled fretboard edges like the Player Plus has. Rosewood instead of Pau Ferro. Slight pickup update. And newer usually is better resale.

Thanks, figured the player 2 ones were better but didn't know for sure. I did figure out why I haven't been seeing many deals on Aerodynes lately, Fender discontinued them in 2022. No wonder I was seeing so many deals on them last year LOL. A few retailers still have some here and there, but selection is limited and they seem to be going for the full price.

How does this compare to a Yamaha Pacifica Standard Plus?

Fender players tend to be rabidly loyal. Asking folks on this thread to compare this to a PAC guitar is like asking them to compare a player on their pro sports team to a washed up bum from a distant farm team.

Right on. My guess is that with all the downvotes, the Yamaha PAC3xxx/6xxx series must be a good contender.

I have a modded Squier Strat that I love playing but just thought to ask the question.

Sounds like you need to mod the wife. Cylindrical objects made of precious metals adorned with one or more gemstones is an effective mod that can change her tone.

Ha ha. I gave her the entire Galaxy. Both the phone and the watch. And I still get questioned on my purchases. Luckily I have a nice neighbor that will stash my purchases.
