I own a bunch of knipex (probably 15-20 hand tools). Honestly the end nippers (carpenters) are functionally identical to my cheap Chinese amazon pair. It's probably one knipex that I wouldn't bother purchasing again if I lost it; and I'm pretty hype about brands that are red.

They function better for pulling nails as opposed to 'nipping' them like some flush end cutters. It's gotta be a softer metal or you just won't have a good time nipping anything through an entire project.

If you're looking to lop off framing nails and such, I'd get the of angled bolt cutters. If you're looking to nip off softer or smaller nails, this is great. But the 7$ ones will do the same.
Im pretty sure project farm tested these and the knipex were considerably better than all of them especially the cheapos

I'm sure the metal construction is much more resilient, but the amount of leverage isn't any different. It isn't like the cobras or bolt cutters where the pivot point and reduced handle angles to give more mechanical advantage. Nothing I can discern anyway. I'll check out the video though, love project farm, maybe it'll give me more appreciation for them!

perfect for crimping PEX clamps
I see two thumbs down--why though? I thought this might be useful as well, in a pinch (no pun intended)?

I don't know what this is or how to use it but feel like I need to buy it and hang it on the magnetized bar on my garage wall next to the other tools I don't know how to use.

How about putting the wire strippers on sale instead of this? Won't be tying rebar anytime soon.

Zoro has these for around $20. If you place in your cart and wait a couple of weeks, you should eventually receive an email for 20% off, making these $16. Or if you already buy items from Zoro, you probably receive coupons in the mail. I just got 2 different 20% off codes yesterday in the mail.

I haven't checked the diameter of my toenails in a while, but these cut through 'em like butter. Just careful not to catch any skin or bone.
That was funny. Why the down votes. So serious. Enjoy life and smile Magarians

IKR? It's like they didn't even read my username before downvoting. Or maybe it hits too close to home?
