I have two of them….and about 5 others of various manufacturers, types etc…these are my favorite, go to headlamps…the user interface aka the button you click is really simple to use/understand…the light has a great pattern with an even spread….and they are light!!

Good deal. I love my HS20. More than double this price but such a versatile light with both spot and flood heads.

I've used mine so much that the strap is starting to wear out (not as elastic as it once was). I have a few others but this is always my go to headlamp. Main reason is the weight vs. brightness, which doesn't need a middle top strap that mats down my hair or doesn't work well with a hat. Ordering another for a backup.

How long did it take for the strap to wear out?

Too good to pass up. In for 5. I also bought the sale before with H25LR(D25LR) LED Rechargeable 660nm Deep Red Headlamp. That Red LED is awesome and really lights things up.

Anybody have issues with the USB connection? The last couple of headlamps from Sofirn the USB plug hasn't been a tight connection and can't charge.

What's the runtime?

Can any 18650 battery be used in this?

Edit: could be wrong but in low mode I'm going to assume it'll last at least a few hours or more. Since there's a removable tail cap I'll assume it will accept any standard size 18650 3 volt.

Thanks for that tip! I wanted a red + white for nightwalks & backpacking, so I got the H25LR you recommended along with this slickdeal using coupon code *SFDEC20* for 20% off both (which was a bigger discount than using the 30% off code), and shipping is free.

I have purchased several of these and the newer models use usb-c which should hold up better. On previous models with micro usb, the connection gets loose after a few charges.
Otherwise, if I don't lose them first, these headlamps last about 3 months before they stop charging or the light stops working. I still keep buying them because they are light and easy to turn on and off (on other headlamps I constantly search for the button).
