The Endure (5358) listed here from Amazon looks different than the one on Swissgear website. The price is the same but the later charges $5 in shipping.

I can't believe they are still pushing this "ScanSmart" stuff. If you aren't going through a Clear, Pre-check, etc checkpoint you always have to remove your laptop from the bag completely and put it in a tray by itself. And if you are a pre-approved traveler then you don't have to remove the laptop at all...unless you are like me who tends to travel with 2 laptops....that seems to annoy the American TSA

I have a Dell backpack that was part of a bundle bargain years ago, has lasted impressively well, other than vinyl peeling off the straps.
I bought the 3760 from Sam's, realized I valued chest cross strap for long walks to work in Japan, bought the 5358 directly from Swissgear.
At the price, I would choose either over these options.
Scansmart not needed since I'm precheck, but two features are musts for me in a backpack: key tether and strap for securing on luggage pull handle.

Thanks for the tip. I'm always looking for ways to annoy TSA agents to the point that they want to quit.

I just had my 2-in-1, work laptop, and Steam Deck. There was almost a security incident when TSA referred to the Deck as a "Nintendo Switch"....My wife had to hold me back. #whenkeepingitrealgoeswrong

What era are you in?
Many TSA locations have replaced screening scanners and will tell you to keep everything in your bag, not only precheck but general admission.
