In the Boston TV market on the 80s, this was one of the shows under the "Force Five" umbrella. They used to sell die cast figurines of these characters at a store in Waltham...edit: store was called Mr Big Toyland

You can find 74 odd episodes of the original series in Arabic in Archive.org. https://archive.org/details/grendizer_202007. Also there is a remake in the works if I am not mistaken. English episodes were never released looks like

I was about to say this looks like Mazinger Z. Looked it up and apparently this was the third entry into the Mazinger series and it became a spinoff. I grew up watching the US version of Mazinger which was called Tranzor Z in the early 80's. Cool they made a game of this.

Also grew up watching Tranzor Z! Did not find out that the universe "continues" until many, MANY years later as Mazinger.
