I went to my local costco and it was miserable. No promo, BOGO was on hold, no costco cash card on my plan. Couldnt help me even though I verified my plan was qualified. Went home, read this, called and added 2 lines with BOGO. It was $15 first line and 2nd one was free, but with autodebit, they reduced it to $10. Took 1 phone 16 pro and traded in a Galaxy S9 that I got on ebay for $100, and got $830 credit - $30 trade in and $800 in 24 montly credits. The phone was $1099 and $45.79 monthly so $12.46 monthly plus $10 for 2 lines. Plus one $75 costco card which should offset the monthly line charge until I can cancel. So its a reasonably good offer for a phone 16 pro 256GB for $500 (tax included, ebay trade in cost included - half off). |

Carrier locked devices are okay, regardless of which carrier. Established refurbishers can easily unlock devices by submitting a request to the phone's manufacturer. The phone however, cannot be Apple or Google locked (lost or stolen).
So if I add an additional line with this promo is the device tethered to that line? I don't want my 10 year old with the new line with a Apple 16 Pro and rather give him a hand-me-down Apple 12 Pro, can I swap devices to an existing line without losing the promo?

To get the latest phone, all I need to do is switch to Mint Mobile, then switch back after six months or so. They're rewarding people for LEAVING their business.
What's more is they kept sending me emails claiming I could upgrade to iPhone 16 for free, then they tell me I need to pay $48 a month for it.
Who are these boneheads that T-Mobile hires? If you can't figure out, after 4 years of service with them, I took advantage of the Mint Mobile deal and paid $600 for a full year of three lines with unlimited service. No more T-Mobile! Bye!!!
These t mobile "deals" no longer work with older Magenta plans. They want to force us to move to the more expensive go5 plans.
Yes, someone on reddit recommended just that. Also, people suggested emailing CEO of.t-mobile as well. Ultimately, I decided to file class suit against them since there were a lot of victims on reddit. Long story short, it was just too much work filing the class suit when my personal life was just loaded with other to-dos. So, I just considered it as a loss and just let others know when T-mobile trade-in deals pop up. But thanks, I will try the complaints to FCC.
Yep. Got my deal 3.5 years ago, when the iPhone 12 was the newest. Could trade in an iPhone 8 for 830 dollars, which only cost about 240 dollars second hand. You could keep your Magenta plan, at the time. That deal was much better.
