I went to my local costco and it was miserable. No promo, BOGO was on hold, no costco cash card on my plan. Couldnt help me even though I verified my plan was qualified. Went home, read this, called and added 2 lines with BOGO. It was $15 first line and 2nd one was free, but with autodebit, they reduced it to $10. Took 1 phone 16 pro and traded in a Galaxy S9 that I got on ebay for $100, and got $830 credit - $30 trade in and $800 in 24 montly credits. The phone was $1099 and $45.79 monthly so $12.46 monthly plus $10 for 2 lines. Plus one $75 costco card which should offset the monthly line charge until I can cancel. So its a reasonably good offer for a phone 16 pro 256GB for $500 (tax included, ebay trade in cost included - half off). |

I had the same issue getting my credits a few years ago. They finally just flat out said I wasn't eligible.

They are just trying to get people on expensive plans.
We ported in to T-Mobile about 4 years ago. They had a promo for the Magenta Max 55+, giving us Samsung S20 FE phones for free. 7 months later, they had the Mother's DayiPhone 12 promo, so we traded in the Samsungs (which were problematic -constant crashes and reboots) but had to pay them off, and got the iPhones. The bill credits continued and the iPhone bill credits started. Then, in about 15 months, they had another iPhone deal and the Samsung credits had just ended. We traded in the 12's for iPhone 14's. Had to pay off the balance, but the bill credits continue until next month.
Next, we will keep these phones, or just upgrade mine though apple directly, and switch to Visible once unlocked. We can then activate our Apple Watches for free, and be all in at $60 per month, provided we get unlocked by January 31st!
Yes, we give up Netflix, and Apple TV, but we haven't used them at all this whole year. We will lose the $10 per month credit for YouTube TV, but we will be dumping them now due to the rate increase. I have to dust off the antenna I bought 2 years ago and mount that!
The combined savings will be $112 per month, which is decent.
