1) the device is preloaded with this plan and it can not be transferred (unless you do those future steps

For example my tracfone services goes until feb 2027 for I have bought previous deals, each new phone had 1 year of service plus data so somehow I got from 2025 to 2026 to 2027 via buying like 3 plus phones over the years for me and my family members, unlocking them and giving them to relatives post the 60 days unlock window)
5) if you want to use this tracfone service with a different phone, you need to buy a $1 to $5 sim at walmart, target, family dollar, dollar general etc other places. This type of sim is called "Tracfone Bring Your Own Phone SIM Kit, No Airtime - Prepaid". You put this sim card in your google pixel phone (or other phone) and then follow the red card which is going to do steps 1 to 4 with your new phone, this in turn transfers your service from the motorola phone to your pixel phone. In theory your motorola should be unlocked in 60 days since it was activated and it just needs to talk to the tracfone / motorola servers. Newer phones use unlock servers similar to iphones for several years now. Some 2023 and earlier android phones do not automatically unlock via wifi after activation with step 4, you had to have service still on the device and then use a tracfone email portal to request an unlock code you enter manually via the number pad.

Moto G 5G 2024 has smoother screen (120Hz vs 90Hz), stereo speaker, Snapdragon 4 gen 1 is slightly better than Dimensity 6100+ and Moto My UX is basically stock Android

Tracfone only supports ESIM on iphones for some reason. If want to transfer it to different unlocked android you need new BYOD sim card. Then you activate on website with
"Keep Your Own Phone" Unlocked phones you're bringing to Tracfone then "Keep Number" to transfer from current tracfone.
If have inactive tracfone devices under manage lines you can transfer any number to them without buying new sim card if still have it.

Expiration is currently showing as Feb 2026. I guess I'll have to check if my calls/texts get cut off on Nov 2025 or if the service period for unlimited talk/text is actually extended to Feb 2026.
