This is a lot of spec for a low price.
Old and outdated CPU as well as RAM. It's DDR4 which is ancient now.
I recommend people put in a little more for a decent laptop that can perform well for couple years from today.

Review (The reviewed unit has a different, brighter screen, but they talk about this screen):
https://www.notebookche
Just note that this review is from 2021.
It should have a premium feeling build, 32GB RAM (DDR4) and a well regarded older Intel i7 CPU. The Intel iris iGPU is far behind current iGPUs for 3D gaming performance, but is fine for email/web/streaming/spreadsheets.
The screen is pretty low end compared to what you should expect from a more modern laptop, but if you don't need a super bright or colorful screen it will do the job.
512GB PCIe SSD is on the small side, but you can easily add an external SSD or make use of cloud storage to supplement the internal SSD.
Battery life is acceptable per the review with 8-11 hours if you keep the screen at half brightness. USB-C charging helps here too allowing you to charge on the go without a large power brick.
If you are looking for a premium chassis and keyboard at a very discounted price point than this laptop will provide that. If you can stretch your budget to $550-$600 you can get a much more modern laptop, but with a less premium feel.

Google search "hp Elitebook wiki" and there you will find the main link, and under "models" scroll all the way down till you see the G8 class. And it will tell you basic information like what does the different G8 numbers means.
For example you will see something like the 830 G8, 845 G8 855 G8 etc etc. those basically mean what screen size but also whether it's Intel or AMD processor.
Also x360 means it's the 2 in 1 convertible touch screen models. Most of those don't have upgradable ram except for the 830 x360. Hope that helps.
IMO the x360 models are really hard to beat if you can find a nice one refurbished in good shape for a good deal. They have Corning glass screens with really bright panels on them I believe. They might be waccom tablet compatible too.
