I picked one of these up when they were on sale for $400. It has been a game changer. Only thing that I wasn't excited about was the color but Amazon has tons a good watch bands and case protectors in a variety of colors. Watch takes a few weeks to fully learn your biometrics but after that you are off to the races in terms of getting/staying fit. My health age has already dropped by 5 years and I went from not having run in 25 years to easily completing a 52 min zone 3 run yesterday afternoon. At $350 this thing is a no-brainer if you are in the market for a tier 1 health wearable.
This model(epix gen 2)was released in January 2022 alongside the Fenix 7. The epix pro was released (alongside Fenix 7 Pro) in May 2023. The Fenix 8 is the newest model,, released Aug 2024. Garmin have dropped the epix name(for now) and have made the Fenix 8 the AMOLED model and the Fenix 8 solar the MIP screen release.
Actually Fenix 8 is latest model.

Others may want to chime in but this seems like a great deal. As far as I understand this is Missing flashlight basically vs the pro. The sapphire version of this does have multiband gps. Fenix 8 has quite a few newer features but price is much, much higher

This is a great deal. I wish the body was all metal though so I could swap the band. Not a fan of white personally otherwise I'd jump on it.

Great deal but I'm holding out for the pro version. The flashlight feature is worth it!

how much of an upgrade is this over a Venu 2? I've been looking to move up from mine, and was thinking about the Venu 3... is this a step up? Looking for personal feedback from other SDers, not a comparision tool/link.
Garmin has WAY too many lines and models... and from my comparing the two, it seems like it's basically a wash. . I don't care about talking or texting from my wrist, but like more data than the Venu2 offers, esp. with training load and running dynamics. Also, is the nap monitoring feature any good?

This is a great deal - I bought one from Walmart few days ago and paid $400 for exact same one, so that's going back and ordered this one to save the $50 or so.

Good deal but nothing too crazy. Seen this several times over the past few weeks at $350-420 across various retailers.
