Be careful, make sure to record and take pictures from the device right before shipping, if package get lost, phone arrives broken, or they reject your trade in by any reason, you will end up with a $500 charge with taxes for a S21, you can't return it since trade in takes more than 3 weeks and return period ends in 2 weeks. People have report in previous deals these kind of issues.

Easy, just submit your return before the 2 weeks (do it on the last few days). You'll have 2 more weeks to ship the device back. If you get approve disregard the return. If you get denied then ship the device back.

Here are very common issues if you are new to the trade-in system by in-mail ( I wish they take in-person at some locations though).

Your phone have higher risk of getting broken, or cracked while shipping. I suggest not to trust the shipping company, as they "THROW" your boxes around while its moving along their hubs in the way. Make sure put enough bubbles around your phone, and make sure there is no empty room between your phone and boxes. THEY WILL HELD YOU BE LIABLE if its broken in the transit.
As others said, Take plenty of the photos and videos. It is the only way that you can use as the method of defense if they claims otherwise. Note, all the trade-ins are done by the third party that is contracted with carriers. and they are known for notorious in giving excuses of every single way. They best method is to take video from showing phone working, no signs of brakeage, and to showing you are packing in the box with the tons of bubbles or fillers that THEY CANT CLAIM, YOU IMPROPERLY PACKED ( it is very much known reason they denied your trade-in as phone came crap)
IF in any cases they deny your claim ( meaning now the upto $500 bill will post your credit card) make sure to contact the samsung multiple times, only through CHAT or EMAIL. the KEYPOINT is YOU MUST MAKE the HARD WRITTEN PROOF, that YOU TRIED TO TALK WITH SAMSUNG TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION. MAKE SURE TO PUSH ALL THE WAY UP TO MANAGER/SUPERVISOR LEVEL. PHONE CONVERSATION, DEPENDING ON THE STATE YOU ARE LIVING IN, CAN BE ILLEGAL TO RECORD, WRITTEN DOWN OR SUCH.
Once you did everything you have, and you are sure that it is not your fault, PLACE CHARGEBACK (PLEASE USE CREDIT CARD IF YOU CAN, DEBIT CARD TENDS TO BE SUPER HARD TO WIN ON CHARGEBACK CASES AS IT DEPENDS ON THE BANK). IT WILL BE ONLY AND THE LAST RESORT YOU CAN USE OF. PLACE THE CHARGEBACK AND SEND EVERYTHING YOU HAVE AT THE MOMENT, AND MOST LIKELY CC COMPANY WILL STAND ON YOUR SIDE, UNLESS YOU ARE ABUSING CHARGEBACK SYSTEM.

I canceled my order on the s21.

You can easily get a pixel 6a for around $100 and that's the better phone unless you really like Samsung.

P6a's video is worse than the S21. P6a only excels at photos on the main camera. Selfies are worse and it doesn't have a telephoto lens. Some people downplay the telephoto until those scenarios when it's really handy. S21 performs better in general (more RAM and faster SoC). P6a is definitely a great phone for the price but S21 came out as a flagship and P6a came out as a midranger. The launch pricing reflects that difference.

Did this deal last week and traded in my LG Optimus G E970 that I've had sitting around for 10 years. It was in pretty mint condition running Android 4.1 so we'll see if they accept it.

I bought 2 AT&T Motivate 2 phones from Family Dollar. $8.97 ea.. It was a slick deal in October. Look at the 'junk stores' like Family Dollar and Dollar General for cheap phones. That's what I'm trading. Ordered 2. Separate orders since I couldn't put 2 in the cart and get the deal on both.
