For being 120Hz native this seems like a really good deal. Pretty sure my brother has this same TV, he paid at least $1,300 in Dec 2023.

Sony's 80/800 series used to be pretty decent. Specially the 85/850. The performance similar to the 90/900 but not as fancy or with the latest features.
Then they hit rock bottom with the X800G.... Total garbage. Native Contrast 977 : 1 with no local dimming.
The TCL 4 series could beat it.
It appears as now they are in the upswing.

in about 5 years your OLED will look like complete garbage and you will be looking through slick deals for a non OLED tv like me. As they get older nothing stops the burn in. watching your tv content greens turning to yellow and reds to black as the content moves across the screen, is more than distracting. My $TCL LCD tv, that I bought years before the OLED, has gone through brutal punishment as didn't care about it, and I took care of my top-end OG price $9k LG OLED TV. Today that crappy TCL (which I wouldn't buy again cause I hate RoKu) looks as good as it did the day I bought it. I can't watch my top of the line LG OLED TV anymore. Every day it looks worse and worse. It's complete garbage now.

This seems solid, but no mention of sound. Should a sound bar be added in addition?

I have an LG C9 purchased in 2019 and it has no burn-in while still looking great. And the OLED burn-in technology has only gotten better since then. Hopefully the LG C3 I purchased earlier this year is also gonna be great. Anyways, there's a reason why OLED TV's are coveted while LCD's aren't. Even with the computer monitors. My main desktop is connected to a Samsung QD-OLED and whenever I'm using a 4K IPS or VA panel connected to another desktop or mac mini, they just look so dull in comparison.

Some reviewers have said this TV struggles or straight up cannot do 4K @ 120hz if that matters to you.

I think this is a good deal and am upvoting. Sony is slowly getting warmer and warmer to the perfect holiday TV deal. The best would have been the one a Slickdeals staffer got so many of us hyped for that wasn't real though from Black Friday.

For TV there's an argument for OLED, but monitor I would worry about burn-in. Game HUDs, browser and program menu bars, it's bound to wear the OLED unevenly. Also there are many times where my PC didn't turn off the monitor automatically after x mins of inactivity and my monitors were on all night on a static image. It would've killed ruined the OLED monitors.

We LOVE Sony's upscaling power, this Walmart one looks better than the K75S30CB at Costco for $850..?

wow with all the conflicting comments I dont know what to do now as Im more confused than anything. I would use it mainly for my PC for gaming and YT and social media when not gaming. It feels like a good deal but I was looking for 65" - I cant say an extra 10" wouldnt be nice though.
