Note: poor reviews on listing aren't on the quality of the tv/image, but rather the delivery and the fact that the tv is dropping in price since being purchased.

RTINGS reviewed the 65" version of the TV and gave it a 7.7/10

Get the x90L. It has full array local dimming which gives it way better contrast, deeper blacks and and way brighter peak brightness for HDR. Worth the extra $150-200

The Sony X85K is good overall. It's a good choice for watching movies in dark rooms as it displays deep blacks and has impressive black uniformity, but it doesn't have a local dimming feature to further improve the contrast. HDR looks good thanks to its decent peak brightness in HDR and wide color gamut. It gets bright enough to fight glare from a few lights around and has good reflection handling, so it's a good choice for watching shows or sports in a bright room. Lastly, it's good for gaming as it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and variable refresh rate (VRR) support for console gamers.

This is a much better price than the bait and switch Walmart did on cyber Monday where they tried to sell this for $900 when we all thought it was the x90l

Thought on this or a microcenter refurb 75" x90L for 750? 2 year warranty would bring it to $850 before tax.

I bought this for my mom for $100 more a few weeks ago. It's a good TV, it was packaged well (I ended up price matching at Best Buy). This price is a no brainer. Google TV was plenty quick and the picture is good.

Sure but 7.7 is a relatively low rating considering the highest rated TV on the site is only 9.2 for the top rated TVs (OLEDs) and and low 6's for the lowest crappy sets.

7.7 is not bad, but is on the upper end of average.

No local dimming is the biggest flaw though, so if grey blacks are ok for someone, then this set should be really good.

Isn't there an X93L model as well? What's the difference?

I've had a google tv before, and there was serious input lag. Couldn't use as monitor or console due to that reason, so I got rid of it. Anyone have a recent google tv and know if they have fixed the issue? Thanks in advance!
