No local dimming.
It helps display deeper black color in the dark area by dimming backlit leds individually. minimizing washed out black color effect. More dimming zone the better. Full array < miniLED < Oled(pixel lit).

I think this tv has decent contrast for the price though. I recommend taking a look at Rtings reviews if you are in the market for tv.
Why didn't you just plug in a Roku?

All the bad reviews seems to be Walmart delivery issues (refund, cracked screen during shipping etc), otherwise good reviews. Though seems to have been this price for a least a few months per the reviews. So this might be a "typical" price now, but specs wise seems pretty amazing for a name brand TV

I've been waiting for a 120hz 75" deal for the garage. Ordered. Anyone have experience with Mantel Mounts? I want to mount the tv high out of the way but be able to pull it down when in use.

We just ordered the Mantlemount Max 1 for a 75" TV that is going to be mounted in a gym. We're trying to mount it this week so I can give you feedback. This model is different from the other ones in that it comes straight down and then can also come out - no arch to get over a fireplace mantle. We ordered it from Abt.com and the rep was kind enough to drop the price to $498. It is a newer model mount and not yet available on Amazon. If you go this route, message me and I can tell you the rep that we worked with at ABT.

My friend's parents have either a traditional Mantlemount or Mount-It over their fireplace and they really like it.

Too bad it's a Google interface. I *HATED* our TV that had that. Quickly sold ours on marketplace at a decent loss and replaced with Roku. Generally I like Sony though.

Depends which TV it's on.

Some people are way too hung up on the integrated TV OS. Unless you're buying a higher end TV, a quality external media box is going to be faster.

You can always use Roku, or Fire, or Nvidia Pro. I never use the TVs interface

Yeah if it were only so simple. Because you still had to wait for the Google TV to load at start up. Way better with an integrated platform that's lean and quick. Just switching inputs on the Google interface could take forever. Also you then lose having a single remote, etc.
Same experience with a Sony X90J... The $200 Onn Walmart TV special completely blows it away since it's on the Roku OS rather than Sony/Google TV.
