A whopping 3g sugar. My kids take these before brushing their teeth. There are no artificial colors, only plant extract colors. I have a bottle in hand, Amazon is hard to read. Now back to your regularly scheduled pearl clutching.

Don't buy for your kids, way too much sugar and food coloring, only in America they make this product
You might want to actually read the ingredients on the label.

Classic SD entertainment. Thanks guys 🤣

Has anyone noticed a reformulation of these recently? I think we get ours from Sam's or HEB and they are actually kind of unpleasant now, taste- and texture-wise.

I guess I'll find out! Probably taste bad now because they took all the sugar and food coloring away Smilie

They tasted pretty close to actual gummy bears before. Now it is more the texture and flavor of a dollar store fruity.

The Cyanocobalamin (Cyanide based B12)is the reason I steer away from these

oh I'm glad you brought this up— I've wondered about it over the years so having someone who knows what they are talking about is serendipitous!

My math never seems to fully back any concerns due over cyanide levels in b12 supplements. From what I've found, you'll get a jolt of 20-40mcg of cyanide from a "dose" of b12 (I'm thinking a lot less in these gummies since they only contain only 2.4mcg b12, but I'm no expert). Also from when I gather, the amount of cyanide in one singular almond is about 25-31mcg. So if you could somehow remove all other components from the gummies and just leave the cyanide, it seems that eating a handful of them you'd be no worse off than eating a handful of almonds?

Where am I going wrong here?

You're right, but there's much more to it than that. The way that they make Cyanocobalamin is quite disgusting and it's different from what would naturally be found in almonds. As Cyanide is a neurotoxin I steer away from things that contain cyanocobalamin as there are better choices for B12 such as methylcobalamine. Will the dose that you get from the vitamins hurt you, probably not, but when it's compiled with all the other things like energy drinks that contain Cyanocobalamin to include drinks like "Prime" that are advertised as good for you, you then get to a dangerous level. Long story short is I am not the expert but Gary Brecka is quite knowledgeable on the subject. If you want to listen to an interesting podcast here it is: https://open.spotify.com/episode/...AZ6o7htbvw

I believe that's the one where he addresses cyanocobalamin and our "single dose toxicity" standard in the US.

ugh podcast. I'll try and power through it, thanks!

Oh, and I completely forgot about b12 absorption. If you can really only absorb like 10mcg through oral administration anyway, how are those energy drinks a concern (in regards to cyanocobalamin)?

Guess I'll just have to suck it up and listen. hahaha. Thanks again.
