Audio is fantastic. Mic is absolute crap. Only buy if you want one way conversations.

Good audio quality but terrible mic and call volume. Not good for working out either - ANC leads to thumping noise spikes if you walk too fast or are in a jerky ride and ANC cannot be turned off.

Unfortunately, he's right. The sound quality is good, but not exceptional. The build quality is solid, but not outstanding. The case is bulky and annoying, but they are incredibly convenient to use, and the integrated software adds a lot of value.

You can buy this if you are bored of seeing everyone wearing airpods. I have this model from Costco and paid the full amount. I love it.

Can you create a profile and turn the anc to zero?

You can do that on other bose earbuds n headphones

There are 3 modes - quiet, aware, and immersion. The ANC adapts itself based on the modes and surroundings. The thumping noise while running never went away with any of these modes which leads me to believe, the ANC never gets turned off but just gets dialed down adaptively

you can add other modes and just dial the ANC to zero (goes from zero to full)

These are great for the airplane but otherwise I don't really use my pair

Do these have the same connectivity issues as the Ultra?

I'm in the minority, but I hated the Ultra fit. No Bose sizing options or aftermarket sizing kits alleviated the issue entirely. They weren't uncomfortable wearing for long periods and trapped sweat and moisture in the ear, which added discomfort. In contrast, the original QC earbuds with the fin fit comfortably and had better ANC due to a better seal.

What do you recommend in terms of an earbud with a quality microphone?
