Similarly DoorDash will not offer promotions while you have a gift card balance on your account. For this reason I only redeem the card when I'm checking out

False information. I have two separate Uber accounts on 2 mobile devices. Once I heard this lunacy, I tested it for myself and it's the same price with one account loaded with a GC and the other not. People spreading this nonsense are the same people that complain about everything and thinks the world is against them.

I keep a balance and I am consistently still getting offers. Yes there are definitely droughts that happen but they happen with no Uber Cash in the account as well.

Fees aren't any higher with or without cash loaded.

The only tricky thing is when doing rides it can be difficult to decipher the promotional offer because it will show $0 for everything because Uber Cash is in the account so just be cautious but u can also add the GC after booking the fare if this bothers you.

Still u are talking $200 in GC for $150 ($144 if u have Executive and Costco Card). That is a generous head start to combine with the many coupons they are sending Uber One members.

Yes, I've done it for uber gc when costco first had the extra $5 off sale. Just submit the price adjustment form online.

I got a few of these a few months back and when I compare prices with my wife mine are consistently higher by a few dollars.

My wife and I travel and seen the same. The price will vary between phones, notably a disproportionate number of time my uber home from the airport vs hers is higher. I don't think it's gift card related at all, just because I've taken 100s of trip and they're kinda notorious for doing the airport BS. I just use Lyft or sometimes my wife's account when it happens. For other trips around town, price might vary 1-5%. There's zero correlation on if it's my account of my wife's. For that low variation we never bother he account being loaded with GCs, so definitely a fair comparison.

Anyone having issues with orders being cancelled? I've bought several of these before, but I'm pretty sure it's been over 2 weeks since my last one, yet no matter what I try, it gets cancelled. Does trying again reset the 2 week timer? It's really annoying. From what I understand, it's supposed to be 2 per customer, every 2 weeks.

I have consistent prices as I only use Uber to go to work (Not always). So it's always the same time of day and the same days and I never notice any significant difference, if I have a gift card loaded or not.

My experience as well. I have seen price difference between phones with no GC loaded and seen lower prices on phone with GC loaded than phone without. What has been consistent is Lyft is cheaper 95% of the time and Uber has been taking longer to get to destination (longer time to match with matches that are further away). Taxis are starting to be cheaper than Uber and usually have shorter wait times.

Not true. I always compare rides between Lyft and Uber. Uber is 90% of the time cheaper and I have hundreds in Uber cash loaded. Couple weeks ago I got a Uber eats deal for $25 off $25 for 2 orders.

I get a $10/month credit from my AmEx Gold in the form of a preloaded $10 Uber/Uber Eats credit. Does anyone know if it'll take the $10 monthly credit before it touches the gift cards? Thanks!
