Bloodstained is great if you're a fan of the Castlevania RPG style games like SOTN or the GBA and DS games.

Bloodstained is broken on the Switch and the team has not addressed it in years. It gets about half the frame rates/speed/smoothness it's supposed to get, which results in a noticeably choppy experience.

Second this. Bloodstained is a fantastic Metroidvania, but please oh please avoid it on the switch. The crew that ported it over just did not care and it runs like garbage. Get it on literally any other system/platform and you're in for a great experience.

It's completely playable on Switch after the patches. Sure the frames dip here and there, but it doesn't break the game. If you want it portable or the Switch is your only option don't let this deter you unless framerate dipping a bit occasionally is a deal breaker for you.

Agreed with the terrible Switch performance. It runs better on a phone, ignoring the broken iOS version that was abandoned.

Screen transitions take seconds to load and some spells bring the system to a crawl.

Runs like dogshit on switch, which is unfortunate as these games rely on a fair amount of reaction and twitch controls
