This screen in particular looks "fuzzy" and not sharp due adding touchscreen to the OLED.

The Asus does seem to have better sound though.
Buy 9 instacart $100 ($20 off) gift cards ( you would need your friends and family to buy these as 2 gift cards per account) and then go to sameday.costco.com and apply these gift cards while ordering.. boom for $700 you would get 32gb Lenovo slim 7
The only two things I feel this laptop needed is a fingerprint reader and to make the bezel on the bottom of the screen a bit thinner this would have been a home-run for me.

If you want all of the above plus light gaming with an iGPU then hold out for the Lunar Lake deals that I believe are coming in the next month or two, but expect to pay $150-$250 more than this.
hey, thankyou for saving me ALOT of researching time....
i DOO want to be able to "+ light gaming" as I haven't HAD a laptop to do said thing in ages...
are you referring to Leneovo specifically that's coming out w/ LUnar Lake deals?
++ the Chase cc discount 15% might be over by then, however.

I don't go hunting for the deals, but I do try to weigh in on some of the laptop deals I see on SD.
I've seen 1-2 Lunar Lake (Core Ultra 2) laptops on sale for about $900-$1000 in the last two weeks, one of which got as cheap as $708 open box good from Best Buy. If this follows a similar trend to the Meteor Lake (Core Ultra 1) laptop deals in the $550 - $750 range from the last 6-8 weeks then we will start to see the price of Lunar Lake laptops drop some when the next generation Intel Arrow Lake CPUs are released.
Where Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake were CPUs intended for laptops and prioritized energy efficiency over raw computing power, Arrow Lake will target the desktop segment of the market and return the focus to raw computing power at the cost of energy efficiency.
So Arrow Lake won't compete directly with Lunar Lake, but some high performance and gaming laptops will probably get Arrow Lake CPUs and at that point I would expect to see price drops on some of the Lunar Lake laptops.
In My opinion, Lunar Lake (Core 5/7/9 Ultra 2XX) is a great CPU generation to target because the energy efficiency it brings allows the laptops to need less cooling and helps the battery life last longer as long as you are not trying to do CPU heavy tasks all the time.
In the last 2-3 years I've personally leaned towards (M1-M4) macbooks at work and AMD CPUs (Zen 4 & Zen 5) for my personal gaming laptop, but the lunar Lake CPUs have me considering Intel again for the CPU of my next laptop.
I just placed an order.
