These pixel prices are too high. Considering their depreciation values, they should be priced way below iPhones. iPhone prices have gotten too high as well. Especially the 16 is practically the same thing as the 15.

Good deal if you have a phone to trade-in which give extra $300 bonus. Got $530 for S24FE.

I have a Pixel 8 pro to trade in and I can only get it down to $403 inclusive of $85 tax. How do you get it down to $220?
It's 850-630 with your 8 pro trade. So, $220 plus taxes

Not a good deal. For 7 Pro, I get the same trade-in value and final $450 price directly from Google store. Why involve a 3rd party knowing how anal Google is with dealing with RMAs for 3rd party sold units?

Does it matter if the trade in is carrier locked?

Can you get the same trade in value if you trade towards an open box phone?

You don't think they're overpriced?
Most phones are overpriced. I just got an iPhone 16 through my job and I notice almost no difference over my 50$ moto, other than I'm more worried it will get damaged or stolen

Bonus doesn't apply to open box phones

Google store was giving $699 for P 8 pro trade, not sure if it still applies.

The only thing I still use pixel 8 or 9 phones is the camera, the major problems with those phones are:

face unlock is useless in low light, fingerprint unlock is useless unless you use a better quality screen protector or don't use one at all.

I won't pay over $400 for this.
I have a regular pixel 8 and have never had an issue with the screen unlock. It was the thing I was most nervous about coming from the 5a with the fingerprint on the back.

Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure how a trade-in in the store would change the final price. And if price != $220, then Google store deal makes absolute sense in my use case.

Looks like the Google Store is $50 more vs the $849 price at BB. Went through the trade-in process and said total after trade-in is $323, so $50 difference.

ahahah funny, iPhone 15 is NOT the same as 16!!! iPhone 16 is wayyyy better!!! Go look it up! laugh out loud
Maybe you should..either way iPhone prices have declined, and agree that any new phone MSRP is way inflated.nsave a bundle a buy second hand or during true deals. This ain't it.

Depends per state. E.g. if you do trade in in texas where i live, i need to pay tax on value after tradein i.e. $220 + $18.5. The reason for trading instore is always you get the tradein done on the spot, no more guessing with shipping the tradein. That's its better in bestbuy.

Agree that even the promo pricing for these is way too high. Currently on a P7 and have owned several other models before this. Also a Google Pixel "Superfan" and was going to upgrade to the P9 Pro XL, but holding off to see what the P10 and their new dedicated chip brings. If it's much of the same, I will seriously consider going Apple for the first time ever, but the lack of work profile feature on iPhones is what's kept me from making the jump so far.
