I ended up sifting through the manuals for both models, thanks to you for linking the website to each. It seems the Sam's model has the PS-WC67B subwoofer, which is slightly larger and heavier than the Walmart model's PS-WC45B (12lbs vs 8.8lbs respectively). I couldn't find any information on either beyond that (maybe my Google skills have gotten rusty).

The other noticeable difference I found in the documentation was the inclusion of DTS VIRTUAL:X on the Sam's model vs the lack of mention on the Walmart model. Not sure if that is a dealbreaker.

I'm inclined to believe that the Sam's model is mishmash of components from various inventory with firmware configured to play nicely together (obv I can't guarantee that's the case). That being said, adding the recommended rear setup to the Walmart model looks like it'd cost another $150 and a quick search between the SWA-9200s and SWA-9100 doesn't suggest much of a difference between both. I'm personally biting on the Sam's version for the $299 price it's at rn.
It's not fair to say getting a much more expensive sound bar is the obvious choice.

Something like a sound bar, regardless of it being $100 or $500+, it will most definitely sound better than stock tv speakers.

I say, get what fits in your budget. I habe a lower end vizeo sound bar from like 10 years ago, sounds wayy better than stock tv speakers. Overdoing it on sound bar speakers seems easy to do, basic ones will suffice for most people, just my opinion
I tried the S2 and ended up returning it since it didn't offer comparable sound to this Samsung soundbar.

Here are the links on Samsung and I can't find much difference other than rear speaker kit on Sam's model and Walmart one being 2023 model.

edit :: Rear speaker kit included in Sam's model is SWA-9100 which is compatible with 2021 and 2022 soundbars and now am not sure which is the older model.

Lack of subwoofer aside, this or the Bose soundbar?https://slickdeals.net/f/18000306-walmart-bose-smart-soundbar-550-with-dolby-atmos-199?src=SiteSearch
Thanks for asking this, I am in the same boat. While I can add a bass module for Bose, it seems expensive at that point. Best buy lists bass module for additional 399. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/bose...Id=6280557. Yea, Bose is a very different level though

Yeah...I was thinking the same thing.
Unless it's a wireless Bluetooth subwoofer.
