I have the previous generation subcompact, and agree with the above that the drill is pretty awesome. I also have an older gen5x hammer drill, which I almost never grab because the subcompact is so much more comfortable to use.

I'm not a huge fan of the impact driver. It drives fine, but I really miss not being able to choose a speed. The trigger is variable speed, but I'm a noob and overdrive screws all the time with the impact driver. I prefer my older gen5x impact driver which allows you to choose a slow speed as to not overdrive screws.
Otherwise through, the driver works fine.

You summarized all that i wanted to say, plus the impact driver is the most powerful one in my arsenal.

I bought these for $100 last year when they went on sale and have gotten good use out of them. They are small but powerful for sure.

I have the older gen as well, but this driver has 3 speeds and self tapping selector on the rear of the base

Oh seriously? Thanks awesome. Well in that case I would wholeheartedly recommend the new version then.

Crap. Now I kind of want to upgrade... I wish you didn't tell me that.

These are my go to tools! Can you throw them down an elevator shaft like a Milwaukee? No. Are they powerful and light? Yes. Price seems just OK to me as I spent 69 or 79 a few years ago for blemished units. They were new. I think they were more like over production. They are more powerful than my Milwaukee 12v tools.

Picked up this set today, but while in store, I saw they have an 8 piece tool kit for $299. Since I needed the blower also, it makes more sense to get the 5 additional tools for $89 more. Unfortunately, it's out of stock.

$119 at my local Richfield MN location. They had 5 in stock in the tape measure aisle (just a random little display) as of yesterday evening.
