Just got the LOQ 7435HS 4070 from Walmart. This one looks even better. Should I return it?
The only advantage LOQ has over this is the better display (only in terms of color coverage). In everything else this Victus is better.

Love the downvotes from the trolls.
This is the lowest 4070 laptop with a newer processor out there.
They are complaining about nits and resolution. They want $900 laptop to be $1400 equivalent 😁😁😁

probably downvotes just because the price isn't in the title or first post, its $849 for anyone wondering.

If you are looking for a cheap < $500 laptop then this is not useful to you so putting the price SOMEWHERE is nice, especially for those who have alerts setup for laptops. and yeah, I agree there is zero chance of getting a 4070 laptop for under $500 but price mistakes do happen.

Just paid $680 for the Asus Tuf A15 deal at Best Buy during Black Friday (7735HS with 7700s). Is it worth returning that to pick this HP up instead? Not sure if the jump to the 8845HS and 4070 will be worth the price increase.
I have both (wife uses one), and honestly prefer the A15. Better battery life, and I prefer the A15's display. Also, the HP can only fit one NVME, and it must be single sided (rules out most 4TB options).

Great deal but tiny SSD. Anyone know if these Victus models have easy SSD access to upgrade without voiding warranty?
Did some research. SSD and RAM can both be upgraded. You must remove the entire bottom cover, it's not just little slot covers. No big deal if you are used to this sort of thing. If you aren't, watch a video and see how you feel about it.

Not 100% confirmed but the default RAM config appears to be 2x 8GB = 16GB so to upgrade to 32GB you'd need to buy 2x 16GB modules. If it actually comes with 1x 16GB then you'd only need to buy a single 16GB module.

I'd highly suggest upgrading the SSD for most people wanting a machine this powerful. This includes photo/video editing, gaming, or working with hefty AI / LLM models.

The display is for life...unless you plan on changing that too. 300 nit and 45 NTSC is not a great display

Why do they keep on releasing laptops with high profile CPU and GPU with just a 512GB SSD? 1TB should be only $20-$25 more and everyone would gladly pay it. These genius marketing guys...

I'd keep what you have, not worth the $200+ more.

300-nits 45% NTSC.
I Mentioned it in my original description which was omitted by the deal editor.
