Finally, a deal on soft toe wolverines! The steel toes guve me corns, even in the extra wide fit.

It might just be me, but I have lousy luck with Wolverines. Excellent experience with Hy-test (made by Wolverine) though. I have owned this particular boot. The leather is nice, I wouldn't say they're particularly well constructed. I would say worth this price even though I won't be going back.

I currently own these boots and I've put them through hell. They are still in great condition and fit well.

Are the soles hard? Good for walking on concrete and/or standing on a ladder?

Not the Wolverine of yesteryear... I still have my first pair from 20 years ago..

I have these in black. The laces don't hold up more than six months but the rest is good for a couple years. They're pretty comfortable to me and I'd buy another pair at this price in a second if I need em.

The soles flex for walking/crouching/climbing. Probably more indicative of their wear down rate but they do offer a flex level over other cheaper plasticized sole designs. They last me a solid year on all warehouse concrete/pavement surfaces.

small toe box, they run small and narrow. Size up or go wide. Quality is just ok. If used as a hiking boot, much better choices out there like Danner 600, Keen, Alico Tahoe or Summit (for rock hopping, Italian made, indestructible), and Asolo. Alico here: www.alicosport.it

Composite toes are lighter, more comfortable and just as strong. Call me old school but if they don't meet the ASTM F2413 standard for impact and compression resistance it's not a 'work boot.'
