Apparently it's possible to increase brightness to 1000 nits with software, it was software limited to 600 for battery life. The apps are called Vivid or BetterDisplay

Local costco showed a bunch in stock in the app last night, but none this morning. Price matched to BB on the first try. Ended up using a $1200 gift card I received yesterday from a geek squad claim on our TV. Upgrading from a M1 Air 8gb/256gb.

The $1,400 M4 MacBook Pro does NOT have Thunderbolt 5. The M4 Pro MacBook Pro does which is currently selling for $1,900 at Best Buy.

M4 base is overall better for just a little bit more. 1400 at Amazon, open box excellent at best buy for 1330

Nah, Best Buy open box is $1450. This is the better deal if you can find it. More value in having an extra 2GB Ram, 2 fans vs 1, and faster disk speeds at nearly $200 cheaper when you factor in taxes

They wont. In some cases they claim not to match Costco, although they do. There is thatBest Buy credit card. If you get that , you get 20% back in gift cards. That may not be a bad deal. Ends 12/25. You can check that out.

in the Costco app, on the bottom click on warehouse. You will see a search bar for warehouse inventory. Type in the item number 1780719. It will pull the warehouse price and inventory info i.e. instock, low stock or out of stock. You will also see a button "find nearby " that'll let you check if any warehouses in the area have it within a certain radius. Hope that helps.

Went through 2 BB chat agents. First one wouldn't match due to it being sold out at Costco and the second one honored it and sent my email a payment link and I placed the order. Just keep trying through BB chat till you get an agent that will do it. Some are by the book and some don't care. Also using incognito /private browsers will help

did they match the instacart price (1262) or the 1249 from costco.com? Also is it only the space black?

I assume some of these BB chat reps are working remote. So when they are clicking the Costco link, it might be showing up available based on their geo location. I would keep trying until you find a rep to approve it. I had to do it 4 times.

PSA: if your Best Buy price match transaction requires you to pay regular price and they will refund you the difference at a later time, follow up that it's done.

I had a price match approved for a MacBook around Black Friday and subsequently got an email (that went to my junk folder) that upon review it was denied.
