False. First Costco has the extended warranty regardless if you bought with gift cards. Second they dont take AMEX which usually has 90 days theft etc protection. Furthermore do the math. 250.00 savings is a huge amount. Therefore is it worth paying 250.00 if you can really do this method? Credit card protections witht eh few that offer it , overlap with Costco. Have you ever owned any Apple laptops previously? Two years is two years. One from Apple + One from Costco. You basically said what I did… Costco = 2 (1 Apple + 1 Costco). If you buy online via same day, you have the option to buy with, say a Citi card that still includes 2 additional years of extended warranty plus purchase protection (90-120 days). That's the trade off with 20% off GCs, you give up any credit card protections. $250 might be worth it for basically 4 years of warranty for some. You can also mix and match, I personally did 50% on GCs to save some cash and the rest on a card that has 2 years extended warranty, so I'll be covered for most repairs other than total disaster for longer, plus the card I used had bonus points in the category.

Damn..buying from Costco seems like a better deal even if paying upfront to get the 4 years of warranty w/out paying extra vs. the 24 months 0% interest from BB. What card did you use - the Costco Citi?
So I can pay 50% using Insta Cart GC and pay the rest on my Costco Citi and still be eligible for the 2 add'l years from the Citi card?

Yeah BB retracted my price match too, I was only going to grab this if I could trade in my M2 air. Pretty farking shady to allow someone to make a purchase based on an approved price match then snatch it back after they gave you their money. Cancelled that order real fast.

Looks like Costco Citi credit card doesn't offer 2 year extended warranty any more.

Need to check which Citi cards still have the 2 year extended warranty option, not all have it but I think it's still most. The warranty will only cover up to what you charge on the card. Eg if you pay 500 on the card, and a repair will cost 600, you will only get 500 covered (usually a check or statement credit). Of course needs to be something that would be covered under warranty.

I am using the M3 pro at work. The keyboard keys, some started to flatten and become non functional after a month of use. So keep your receipt handy in case this happens to you.

Interesting, thank you. Glad to know it can be there if I want it. But the 600 nit screen is gorgeous and bright - not sure if I'll have the need.
