Apparently it's possible to increase brightness to 1000 nits with software, it was software limited to 600 for battery life. The apps are called Vivid or BetterDisplay

Local costco showed a bunch in stock in the app last night, but none this morning. Price matched to BB on the first try. Ended up using a $1200 gift card I received yesterday from a geek squad claim on our TV. Upgrading from a M1 Air 8gb/256gb.

this only has 1 more core since its the die harvested binned m3 pro. 5 performance, 6 e cores. vs m4 with 4/6. single thread m4 is faster so it has stronger p cores..... so it is pretty close either way, the 11 core m3 pro is probably the worse "pro" chip they ever put out relatively

Took everyone's advice and switched the 8gb to this one. Wish there was a way to use citi double cash card in store for the two year extended warranty. Can only use online so lost one year of credit card extended warranty.

Also, YMMV on the Instacart trick where you change your delivery address at checkout. My shopper ended up being assigned to a different Costco where it was out of stock, so I had to drive to the correct Costco myself and purchase it in store.
