Gave the link and then the address (the Lexington Road, Athens GA 30605 one, which isn't even near where I was going to send it), bb asked if I wanted it shipped or store pickup. I asked for a store pickup near Manhattan beach in CA, was given a store, though operator then asked again for my zip and I just replied that I wanted it shipped at a closer store. After couple exchanges unrelated (warranty and bb credit card) got a payment link.

There really aren't any other laptops that combine all the qualities of a mbp, it may get close but never the same.
As of 12/25/24, the online deal has been long gone(OOS). So this is what I did to successfully got the price match from BestBuy:
1. I called costco warehouse in my area, asked for checking any locations have the items available, they provided me 5 different stores(zip code), and number of items at each store. In my case, I used Goleta, CA, 93117. You can use this if it's still available regardless where you live(as it's used for checking the deal availability)
2. I confirmed by going to the Costco app(signed in), and changed my warehouse store to one of the above store(at step 1,), then checked the "search warehouse inventory" under the "Warehouse" tab(the fourth icon from the left), with the item number 1780719, and the item should be in stock status
3. Started chatting w bestbuy customer service, and told them exactly how to search for the item from Costco Warehouse(step 2). I mentioned the online link maybe OOS, but the specific warehouse is not
4. After about 10 mins checking in, BB agent confirmed that they could do a price match and sent the checkout link(invoice) to my email for payment submission
4. Finally, I paid $1249.97 + tax as of Dec 25, 2024.
