shop tool review had another test hitting 1000ft-lbs. definitely above average 600ft-lbs mid torque

This is a great deal for a really strong torque wrench. Check out Torque Test Channels review of mid-level torques. This placed really well, and was best value at the time (when it was selling for149 or maybe even 199). At 99 this is a steal. I purchased this last month and will pick up this deal and "return" the other one to save 50.

Strong enough for just about anything on consumer cars. Probably not strong enough for commercial equipment but that's 3/4 - 1 in anvil territory anyways.

Curious, this vs their XTR 24 volt. $99 vs $247. My goal is to be able to shoot any crank pulley bolts loose which has the highest torque of the whole engine.

Auto Slow mode allows the tool to loosen nuts at high torque level and then once the nut is loosened, the RPMs automatically slow down preventing user from out of control feeling and losing the nut. The Kobalt impact wrench also features 3 speed/torque settings which can be easily selected using the electronic push button.
