This is all the proof you need that these numbers are touted as proof that these movies are successful.

We all know it's artificially inflated by giving out free tickets. It was well documented that Sound of Freedom had sold out screenings which were entirely empty of actual people.

Your real intentions are revealed by the fact that you would defend and promote an objectively horrible movie (by every discernable film making metric) only because it promotes and strengthens your personal beliefs.

People go to the movies to be entertained. These movies are NOT entertaining. They are a 2 hour sermon disguised as a movie. If it were entertaining, they would be confident enough in its storytelling to draw an audience instead of giving away tickets for free to get people to pump up their numbers.

I am not telling you to not watch it because I "hate Christianity", I am telling you not to watch it because it is not an entertaining movie. It is as enjoyable as sitting through mass. You can do much better with those 2 hours of your life. Respect yourself and respect your time.

Their production company is doing some shady marketing with all these free tickets to make a profit on minimal budget movies. Do not fall into their plan to use you as a number to pump up their agenda. They do not care about your time because if they did they would have made a better movie.

Lol reports of sold out shows being empty, you mean like those reports of theaters who would tell people that the show time was cancelled due to technical difficulty issues like HVAC or equipment problems, but the next showtime for another movie was perfectly fine, even though the patrons were told that the equipment would not be fixed in some cases for 24-48 hours....

Lol free tickets, its called marketing, you know, what smart companies do.... Some of you are so ridiculous its amazing...

Lmao. Nothing says man child more than someone who gets butt hurt because someone else doesn't share the same opinion as them. The whole "They don't want you to see this movie" is a marketing ploy by the producers towards right wingers because they knew they'd fall for that bs, hook line and sinker. The only reason why Sound of Freedom appeared to be a box office success is because the churches were handing out free tickets and they offered huge discounts to huge church groups. Do your research.

Common sense would tell someone - why would they give something away for free if they were confident that it would rake in millions of revenue on its own?

BTW speaking of child trafficking, guess who was literally bff's with Epstein and has taken tons of photos with partying with him?
Lol for 250 million dollars, yeah thats still a box office hit and actually the biggest hit of the year that year since its budget was only 15 million, lolol. Not to mention many people participated in their pay it forward campaign, its called smart marketing, something that big studios have no clue about anymore...

There's a QR code at the end of the movie that's supposed to be allowed to share w/ others to see the movie for free but it appears to be demanding a donation to be able to do so.

For more free tickets?! Almost makes it seem like they're falsely inflating their numbers. Hmmm I wonder why these movies are so "successful" at the box office.... 🤔

They could give away tickets as much as they want. It's still hard to rip people away from their homes to wanna watch a movie that doesn't have any movie stars in them.

Once the ticket is "sold" it doesn't matter if there's an actual person who sits in that seat. Their goal of "selling" one more ticket has already been accomplished. The only thing that matters is that people believe that these movies sell out so they can keep this scam going.

I saw my viewing last Monday at 12:45pm. There was 30 mins of movie trailers.

There were 2 other people in the room with me. They probably got their tickets for free too as I can't imagine anyone paying for this movie.

Your screening was probably sold out according to them. You just didn't see all the other people there because you're biased.

Exactly. People thinking that these movies are actually smash box office hits are some of the most gullible, most easily manipulated people.. And the marketing team behind these movies are fully aware of this lol.

I saw the movie. It was ok. I didn't fall asleep, something I did with Moana 2. It's a similar concept to the movie 2012 and Forever Purge. I see this movie as the mixture of the two. I wouldn't pay full ticket price for it though. My friend didn't want to spend his two hours watching this, so I had the theater give me a cash refund for his ticket.

The problem with this movie is that it has a religious tone and a very strong anti-Trump message. That's why some people are so riled up over this free movie. For example, we want to kick the refugees out and the movie portrayed Tesla as a very bad choice of getaway vehicle during an apocalypse. But Trump is right. If you don't think transactional and you always want to help others, you're going to screw yourself very badly. In the real world, the message this movie tried to deliver won't work. It's time Hollywood stops messing with politics.

I like when a movie is so bad that even the message they are trying to convey flies right over the heads of the demographic they are targeting because that demographic is missing crucial critical thinking abilities. They have literally overestimated the intelligence of their audience lol.

"Man, Schindler's List is such a bad movie because Schindler loses everything he built up at the end. There is no transactional benefit to him saving all those people. Hollywood needs to stop trying to inject morality into politics."

Some of you don't understand the promotion or the way that box office numbers work.

Free tickets given away by the studio do not help the bottom line and do not count as revenue. They do help get the word out about the film.

The tickets here are not being given away by the studio. They have been purchased by someone else to help fund the movie. They are legitimate tickets purchased and then given to others. Whether done so by individuals or organizations it is real money paid to purchase tickets typically by people with the same values as the producers.

It is a smart business model and clearly has been successful.
