I bought them as a gift, so I can't say, yet. I did buy the $5 low top Hello Kitty shoes (which I assume have the same manufacturer/sizing as all the other $5 & $10 character shoes) for myself and found them to be pretty true to (women's) size and comfortably wide. I usually wear an 8 wide or an 8.5 (in women's sizing), so I ordered both an 8 and a 9, but found the 8 to be comfortable enough. I think the Pokemon style is fun and gender-neutral, but would recommend ordering your size in women's sizing.

As usual, the "Was" price is a lie. I ordered these for $9.99 on the 3rd. I doubt they were ever actually $25.

What do you think of them? I'm a guy but those colors are really cool. Converse has their sizes translated into guys and girls so I'm thinking about trying that recommended size. Maybe even to only wear inside instead of slippers?

The 1.5 size rule is fairly universal. They have up to size 11, so if you wear men's 9.5 or smaller, you'll be ok with the size shift. If needed, size up a half, and add an extra insole insert to fill and for comfort.

We picked up these and a few others of the Ground Up brand during the Black Friday sale. They are comfortable, and run true to size but are wider than most of my other sneakers, which is actually pretty nice. We also got the Alice and Wonderland and Jack & Sally sneaks for my husband, and he loves them and says they're comfy, we just did the 1.5 size rule to choose his and it worked out great!
