Here's another trick I used to save a few bucks on taxes: Go ahead and update your profile to a state that doesn't collect taxes (like Delaware or Oregon). Then, update your preferred theater to that city. When you renew or upgrade your membership, you won't see any tax. You can pay with your regular credit card, and you won't have to worry about the tax being added to your subscription! I hope this helps someone out there!

Seems to be the case with me as well. After checkout it said 2026. But on my amc profile, says 2027

Just so you know, if you buy four or more tickets, your online ticket purchase fee is automatically waived with the free plan.
That won't be true for much longer. They're removing that Jan 1st.

I recently upgraded my expired membership and noticed that the "Next Billing Date" is set for January 1st, 2027. My membership expired a few months ago, and I didn't renew or upgrade until today. I've also seen reports from others who had to cancel their membership to see the two-year glitch.

Am I approaching this right, and should I consider canceling my current membership and renewing for another two years?

I've never understood why people choose this level of premier membership. Is it just to waive the online ticket fees? It doesn't seem like there's any other really value added. I usually just buy my tickets at the door. But sometimes it's challenging to get a good spot so I guess that would make some sense. I wish there was more benefits in this plan.

Waiving the convenience fees to reserve prior is on thing. But also, you can combine this with certain ticket websites (most notably Giftory) that allows you to purchase a voucher combo with 2X tickets, 1X regular sized popcorn, and 2X regular sized drinks for $26. You can then use the vouchers free of fees, and supposedly then use the premier membership to upgrade the popcorn and sodas to a large for fee which then qualify for refills.

Considering this is $15 (plus tax) for two full years, going to the movies just three to five times only with tickets and waiving those fees justifies the cost.

I tried canceling the auto renewal and then renewing it again. Guess what? My next billing date is set for January 1st, 2029! 🥲

Thank you! I should've done this years ago. Repped.

I only got one free year, unfortunately. Not sure if i should risk trying a 2nd renewal. edit: i was never on auto-renewal. i've always renewed at customer service with a gift card. this time i clicked Renew Now on the Stubs page describing all the different Stubs levels.

Mine was set to expire Dec 31 2024. Did it 3 times, so I am now (hopefully) good for 6 years for $45.

Craziness! I renewed mine a few weeks ago before buying tickets to Moana 2, and my renewal date goes through Jan 1, 2027!

Can confirm that it works for customers upgrading from the free rewards to Premier. Never been a premier member, always had the free one. Wasn't aware of the online fee being waived, so I have been missing out on that. Decided to try it out and it indeed says now member till 2027.

Renewed for 2 years. However, although there is only one receipt of 15 dollars, my credit card showed 2 pending transactions of 15 dollars each. Might need to dispute later

Mine shows an error with an April 2035 renewal date. Anyone have any luck with this kind of error?

Edit: Figured it out. Had to favorite a theater close to me since I moved to NJ from NC.

So has anyone confirmed that doing this more than once keeps giving 2 years at a time? Or is it a one time scenario?
I have do e it twice and received 4 years. Original dYe was March '25, now April '29.
After renewing though, I figure they will go out of business and I won't be able to use it all. 🤔
