Here's another trick I used to save a few bucks on taxes: Go ahead and update your profile to a state that doesn't collect taxes (like Delaware or Oregon). Then, update your preferred theater to that city. When you renew or upgrade your membership, you won't see any tax. You can pay with your regular credit card, and you won't have to worry about the tax being added to your subscription! I hope this helps someone out there!

Seems to be the case with me as well. After checkout it said 2026. But on my amc profile, says 2027

The big thing for me is points expiration. They expire after one year for regular (free) stubs members but don't with premiere (or A-list). I prefer my local regals and until recently had their subscription program, so only go to AMC when I can't catch them at regal or if I want to see something in a premium format (my local AMCs are terrible except for the Dolby/IMAX auditoriums). As such I have a lot of points built up that I can activate at my convenience when I want to go see a movie without worrying about them expiring.

It worked for me. Mine was expiring in 2025, renewed from the android app and now the next billing in 2027. Thanks! Considering is going to 17.99 on January 1, 2025, it's more like 58% discount.

Took it to 2035. Good deal and still supporting them. I just hope that AMC lasts and that the theater industry doesn't suffer anymore than it has.

Here's an interesting data point. Before this "glitch" showed up, I simply bought a Premier membership for $15 on 12/1/2024 and got a Jan 31, 2027 expiration date. I hadn't realized that it was for 25 months until it popped up on SD and took a look on the app! I was under the impression that I would only get 12 months of benefits.

There wasn't anything on the site that mentioned about any promotions other than the price going up next year so as to encourage folks to act fast.

So like everyone, I renewed and now it expires on 1/31/2029 for $15. Thanks, OP.

I just added to the thread with your same experience. I signed up on 12/1/2024 and got 25 months and hadn't realized this until this deal went front page here on SD. I signed renewed and got another 2 years. I am itching to try it again to get to at least 2031.

You can do this with Wyoming or Montana as well. No sales taxes even on A-List.

Repped just now.. exit the app and go back to see renewal date 2 years out. I had lapsed membership and went through fresh sign up with upgrade now button
