With the keyboard it is pretty heavy and I think it's 3.3lbs? (someone corrected it to 2.7lb) that's basically same as most ultrabooks 13-14" now.

If you need a keyboard - get a laptop

If you need a tablet, get an iPad

If you want to half Tablet and half Laptop but not great at both than this is a good device (but please do check the apps and run them all to be sure)

I have a Surface Pro 7. I have loved it for several years. It could be time to upgrade.

Are you serious? I have had 20+ Windows PCs, laptops, and tablets over the past 30 years and would NEVER, EVER use an Apple computer. Even if you gave it to me. I had a Windows phone for 2 years, but my company switched to Samsung phones and never looked back.
Yeah... but why? Why would you never use an Apple device? I've also used Windows for my entire life and still do. Wouldn't be able to work without my Windows PCs. Doesn't mean I'm married to them and can't use something made by Apple.

Yet, I find there's absolutely ZERO reason for me to run Windows on my tablet. A device like this just makes no sense and has no use case.

Is this based on first hand experience (do/did you own this Surface Pro) or are you just parroting something you read somewhere?
I do Tech sales+marketing for a major retailer, and get a whole lot of firsthand experience

I did also try to replace my thinkpad with a surface pro 9 (not the new snapdragon variant) but ended up returning it

I think it's ones personal preference as I know people that absolutely love the Surface Pro. It works for them. It's not my cup of tea but I wouldn't go as far to label it with a blanket statement like you did.

It's definitely a preference. I love my Surface Pro. Started with a SP3 (got it used as I was in school/residency) and then a SP7 (should have waited for 7+ but oh well). Have been looking to upgrade but was very disappointed when they released these with only ARM as an option. And it's somehow bulkier? I guess I'll just have to wait longer…

Also for context I have an ASUS I think ROG Z something (surface equivalent) but it's heavy and doesn't have Windows Hello Face, iPad mini, tried iPad Pro with keyboard/etc. for a bit but tablet OS is not the same as a desktop OS. Also have a Samsung galaxy tab 7 with keyboard and pen and it has the desktop UI but it's still android so lack of a "real" OS is limiting (especially for work related apps).

The $1300 deal from Costco has a 1TB SSD, the $899 one from Microsoft has a 256GB SSD.
I see thanks for the correction, yes they are indeed different but the one from MS is 512GB actually not 256. But good to know the difference.

But I think either way, you are not getting the "Pro Flex" keyboard from Costco or BB.

This is just Surface RT all over again, a few native apps and hot mess ARM on Windows. 5th time the charm. Worth it for $400-800 and more fire sales

I least its forcing Intel to make ultra power efficient tablets and Ultrabook again under 1.5 to 2 lb
You are truly clueless!

Windows's implementation of ARM compatibility is shoddy, it blows my mind that anyone would pay $900 for this, let alone $1350.

Bought and returned mine too. I use android apps on windows and that feature does not work on surface 11 (if that matters to anyone). Also agree with it being a little more bulky.
It used to work. Microsoft discontinued the windows services for Android so you can't install it anymore on any laptops, ARM or AMD64 regardless.

What are you doing on your TABLET that makes you need Windows?

Do you also have a Windows phone so you can keep the same OS?
I do have a Microsoft phone, both surface Duo and surface Duo 2, so the slim pen 2 is compatible with both, love them, there is no phone in existence with the poptart shape size form factor,

Why do I need Windows on my pro7+ biggest reason was I like to edit my anki flashcard deck and Android version is extremely limited.

For ants that can't read good, specifically.
