Good deal because it comes with the pump which unfortunately takes 6c batteries. These things are not meant to last you but I've had some with consistent usage for 2+ months. Just make sure the ground it sits on is free of sharp objects. It will also leak sir slowly everyday so you will need to fill it up again to proper firmness.

The C battery requirement of the pump is terrible.

I took mine and converted it to USB C PD 9V input with one of those little $2 trigger boards from Aliexpress. It's probably the best thing you can do to these stupid things.

stupid design + 1
They could support AA, USB, DC etc, any of them will work. But they chose C batteries.

I brought 4 of these a few years back. All leak after first use. So, these are one use for me.

Got two from Walmart for thanksgiving and both died within 5 days. Walmart store didn't accept return because of "policy". Had to talk to online chat to resolve. I hope Amazon doesn't have such policies.

If you really want to use AA batteries, you could do like my grandfather did and cut a 1" diameter dowel to the length of a AA battery and then drill a hole through the middle to accommodate a AA. You'll lose capacity, but not an issue if you have a bunch of extra AA or rechargeable lying around.

Maybe a section of old garden hose and some tape to make up the difference?
