I used to get asics all the time but unless you replace the insoles or buy the most expensive ones they provide very little arch support.

My first pair of Asics had poor grip. I never bought a pair since. Are they generally prone to slipping?

ASICS are probably the best running shoes that you can get for under $50
I have purchased $45~ $50 Nike/Reeboks a total waste of money. Walmart's generic shoes are better quality.

I bought my first pair of Asics running shoes a few months ago. I have not worn them extensively, but so far they are great shoes for the money. Will buy again.
