15g of ADDED sugar.
A reminder that this cereal is junk food or a tasty dessert, but not something fit to give your kids for breakfast.

For comparison, 15g of sugar is...
- Slightly more sugar than is in a typical donut
- Just a bit less sugar than in a 1/2 cup serving of vanilla ice cream
- A bit less than half the TOTAL daily amount of sugar recommended as a max for men by the American Heart Association
- More than half the total amount for women and kids

The fact that this is under the Cheerios brand is really sad, since regular Cheerios are pretty reasonable for breakfast!
A lot of 'em, particularly those with natural fiber, some protein, and not a ton of added sugar.
I'm not saying there are a ton of nutritional powerhouses, but heck, even the very-sweet and kid-loved Life cereal has about half the sugar of the Cheerios dessert-bombs above.

And for people that don't demand sugary cereals, there's regular Cheerios, Grape Nuts, Total, etc.
A delicious bowl of sugar. Now with more sugar. Sweet.

Beware that Amazon has capped the savings of this to be $1.25.

So if you buy multiple boxes thinking you are savings tons, you'd be wrong.

The $1.25 coupon savings gets SPLIT amongst all qualifying 25% items.

Also, there are other items in this 25% savings, and I chose a different cereal to use my full $1.25 on.

Agree but you need to buy organic type Cheerios.

How many bowls of regular bran cereal would you have to eat in order to get the same amount of fiber that you get with a bowl of Colon Blow?

Organic doesn't add nutrition or enhance healthiness.

I'm loving the multiple front page deal for cereal this morning as everyone realizes they need to be frugal for 6 months to pay for Christmas

Sometimes I crave a bowl of cereal in the morning. Do you have any recommendations for healthier cereals out there?

Wasn't Cheerios found to have high levels of glyphosate in it as well?

Heya Mr. Eric, sure!
Regular Cheerios are pretty decent, especially when paired with milk (for protein) or maybe some not-super-sweet yogurt.
Non-frosted Mini Wheats, Total, and Grape Nuts are all hearty and fairly healthy. If you really crave something a bit sweet, you can always add a teaspoon or two of sugar or honey or stevia or whatever and you'll still come out way ahead. Also, Life cereal is kinda on the border, since it has 8g of added sugar, but it's pretty tasty and that's still half the sugar of these awful sweetened-Cheerios cereals.
