Love this light, used extensively during blackouts, camping and home improvement. The dual light modes and dual power modes are special because it can adapt to so many use cases. The rafter hook is awesome in my basement when the power goes out. The low light setting lasts forever and is perfect at campsites.

Highlights:
  • 2,200 Lumens of TRUEVIEW High Definition Output
  • TRUEVIEW High Definition Output provides neutral white color and produces an even beam pattern for clearer visibility
  • Task, Area, and Overhead Lighting
  • Dual Function: 360 degree Area Lighting, 90 degree Flood Lighting
  • High Impact Polycarbonate Lens
  • Powered by M18 REDLITHIUM Battery or Extension Cord
  • 4-1/4" Hanging hook for overhead lighting
  • 3 Area and Task output modes for optimal brightness and runtime
  • LED Limited Lifetime Warranty: LEDs never need to be replaced

I see some in-stock around North Tx at the $100 price, at least according to BS.

The tough call is whether I pick this light up, or spend 75% more money for 200% more light and go with the DeWalt...like this one. Link [ebay.com]

Guess it depends on your battery platform, one versus many. I sold all my tools to simply stick with M12 and M18 cause it checks all my boxes and the tool hacks bring down the prices.

It is certainly more competitive in site lighting than even 3 years ago.

Wanted to add that these are good for when the power goes out. I have the bigger model, got for like $150, and it has been amazing for carrying around with the family.

Also that they're amazing when working outside and night catches you unexpectedly

You could also consider the 2145-20. It's 4,400 lumens but like the DeWalt, it doesn't have the flood light. The 2145-20 also weighs more than double the 2144-20

Nice light and good deal (I also see the clearance price in a couple of stores around me).

However, for that kind of usage, I would recommend the new triple-panel Rover 2368. It's 4500 lumens, and the three panels can be oriented to cover 360 degrees if needed. It is $179, but it is part of the current free-item-with-starter-pack deal at Home Depot, so can be hacked to ~$95.

I've played around with that dewalt. It's very heavy, large and just a weird/ awkward design in my opinion. Also it's a very old design vrs this Milwaukee is a newer offering if I'm correct. Not really comparable lights imo foddering the size/weight difference.

Make sense. I already have a tripod, so the light output is my main focus, not so much the weight. Thanks for your take on things.

Just came here to say that I hate you. Jk

I'm going to return this small radius and get the rover instead. I already have the bigger radius and with the rover being about the same price but stronger, it's the better buy for me

Can't stand Milwaukee's "true view" light! I'd much preferred the whiter light hue.
