Ghostrunner is a funny way to spell Civilization VI.
As a fairly new PC gamer (5 years) my library thanks to freebies from EPIC, Amazon, GOG and a few others has me with a back log of 500+ games with only a $120 invested, dag gone PC gaming rocks!
Welcome to cheap gaming! I have over a 1000 games combined. This was my 302nd Epic game and I have never once purchased a thing on Epic.

The most expensive game I purchased lately was Robocop at $12.50. That was an expensive purchase for me, but worth it.

Great game choice by epic games. they have redeemed themselves for this entire year for this AAA title alone.
Nice come back for Epic!

Hope we get at least one more great title like this before the week is up....hint hint....maybe New years day.

They can have a cult following if they include this one: https://store.epicgames.com/en-US...ong-87a72b

Welcome to actual gaming lol I think most PC gamers end up getting extremely selective on what games they'll even take for free. Backlog has been kind of a game of it's own for at least a decade now.

There's also tons of humble bundles and indie bundles etc where you pay like $1-$5 for a half dozen games so still basically free but you end up with all the games in the bundle not just the 2 you wanted.

I'm pretty selective, still have hundreds of games, and I think my year end review showed I had played 6 games in the entire past year and 2 of the 6 were short term pre-release tests or free week trial so really I only played Planetside 2, The Finals, Once Human, and Gwent in the past year despite having hundreds of games.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The number of freebies now has become so much, one has to start forgoing freebies intentionally after some time. Nobody has any chance of playing all the freebies they get.

Initially you start collecting them, thinking 'what if you are in the mood for a specific genre', so you redeem a freebie. But then eventually you realize it's just clutter in your digital library, and it's just visual noise. I barely get time to play games I actually purchased, let alone those hits in the subscription services that I'm actually interested in. The freebies have no chance, unless it's majorly known hit, or a AAA title.

If you account for all the games in the subscription catalog, the backlog situation becomes even more extreme. I got the three year $15 digital conversion for gamepass. That's been an excellent service but I didn't get that much use out of it as I thought. It was maybe worth it at the $50 base game pass +$15 conversion. But once my 3 year subscription expires this summer I'm not going to renew; just because of how little time I get to play games; even though it has been an excellent service.

I stupidly bought 4 years of PlayStation subscription when they had announced that all the old PS streaming accounts (I forget the name of the service) will be upgraded to extremely tier. That's was $80 a year. I thought I'm getting a deal and fell for it. One of the worst gaming purchase decisions I've made. Now 2 and 1/2 years have passed and I barely used that service.

If it's like the first one, then its a runner game where if you get hit once you die. I played the first one for about 5 mins and quit since it wasnt my thing. There may be more of that game than what I described but I wasnt interested in that anxiety. But give it a try.

You do you, no judgment here, but I don't share the same sentiment. I will add literally anything to my library just to have it. Will I play them? Probably not, but no harm in adding them considering my tastes could change, someone else may want me to try a game, or someone may want to play a game with me.

As for this game, it's actually a lot of fun and definitely worth adding to the library. I've been playing on PS plus but I do plan on letting that expire and lean more into pc gaming since they hand out so many free games and even AAA games drop within the first year or two of release.
